PBKS spinner Harpreet Brar joined the team and even bowled in the net session, making fans wonder, if he was made a part of the squad. But the truth has finally come out. As it turns out, the Punjab bowler was in England to visit his wife’s family, and was in a way, invited by skipper Shubman Gill.
Harpreet Brar Helps Team India in Nets Session
All this was revealed in a video shared by the BCCI titled “Catching Up in Birmingham ft. Arshdeep Singh”. Also in presence was another FC cricketer from India, Jagjit Singh Sandhu, who helped the team in the nets. “My wife is from Swindon. It’s just a short drive, and when Shubman [Gill] texted me yesterday, I thought – let’s go and practice,” Brar added.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of discussion around the Indian playing XI for the second Test vs England. First up is the dilemma of Jasprit Bumrah, and whether he should be picked for the match. He bowled a staggering 44 overs in Leeds, and the question of his workload management will always come.
